20. februārī uz Rīgas viesmīlīgākā kuģa – Andrejsalas peldošās darbnīcas – klāja notiks enerģisks pasākums X-Stream. Filma par ekstremāliem piedzīvojumiem, lieliska mūzika un dejas – tas viss, ar labu adrenalīna devu aizdarīts, ne pa jokam izkustinās baržu!
Pasākuma gaitā tiks prezentēta filma EMPIRE, kas stāsta par vienu no pasaulē ekstrēmālāko, skatāmāko un bīstamāko sporta veidu – ekstremālo kajakingu. Filma tika uzņemta 2008.gada vasarā, ambiciozā ekspedīcijā, kurā piedalījās sportisti no Latvijas, Vācijas, Krievijas un Šveices un meta izaicinājumu stihijai kalnu sistēmās no Tjanšana lidz Kamčatkai. Pārvārot fiziskās un psiholoģiskās pārslodzes, filmas varoņi iekaro dārdošus ūdenskritumus un iepazīst savu iespēju robežas... un nonāk pie atziņas, ka robežu nav!
Pēc filmas skatīšanas viesi varēs uzdot jautājumus un papļāpāt ar ekspedīcijas dalībniekiem. Tiem, kas nolems līdz pašam rītam nenokāpt krastā, būs iespēja iepazīties ar viņiem neformālajos apstākļos. Līdz rītausmai ar mums būs DJ Kone, DJ Raitis, DJ Krii un VJ Punte.

Formerly a ship-servicing barge, today the most welcoming buoyant venue in Riga will host an energizing event X-stream on February the 20th. Documentary about extreme adventures, chilled atmosphere, great sounds and beats, all spiced with a good deal of adrenaline, is going to rock the boat!
The highspot of the event will be demonstration of the film "Empire", dedicated to one of the most extreme, spectacular and dangerous sports – whitewater kayaking. The film was shot in summer 2008 during an ambitious kayaking expedition by sportsmen from Russia, Latvia, Germany and Austria, making their way through a number of mountain ranges from Tan Shan to Kamchatka. Experiencing toughest physical and psychological loads these sportsmen conquer roaring waterfalls, overcome deprivations far from civilization’s comforts and grasp limits of their abilities.. or rather that there are no limits!
After film demonstration guests will have a chance to ask questions to some guys from the film, who’ll specially come to the event. Those who’ll decide to wait for the first sunbeams onboard will meet them in a more informal atmosphere. Till dawn some of the best Latvian DJ’s will be caring for floating on the dance floor. We’ll be rocking to the tunes of reggae and dub music.
